- This position is in Kansas City, MO working with the USMC.
- This position is 24x7; shift work required.
- DoD experience is preferred with knowledge of the Marine Corps IT environment.
- Position requires US Citizenship and an active DoD SECRET clearance.
The MCEITS center provides application hosting capabilities, enterprise shared services, access to enterprise-wide information, collaboration and information sharing across business and warfighter domains.
The MCEITS program will provide the Marine Corps with a modernized IT-enabled capability for use in enterprise and expeditionary environments. This will include implementation of an IT infrastructure with application, service and data environments. Additionally, MCEITS will deliver an IT infrastructure that can quickly, easily and securely adapt to evolving software, hardware, data, services and management requirements while providing an enhanced enterprise visibility that facilitates greater reuse of IT assets.
- The positionis responsible for tier II infrastructure core services support, application support and 'ownership" of all incidents (except escalations) throughout their lifecycle. This position must possess the skills and abilities necessary to operate the enterprise tool suite and must have knowledge of the ITSM processes. The Technical Assistance Center technician provides technical communication to the tier one service desk, watch office and authorized callers regarding break/fix incidents.
- Analyzes organizational needs that require system support; gathers, compiles and interprets information as well as assessing regulatory and risk issues.
- Identifies methodologies for testing functions, summarizing data to develop a recommended course of action, and analyzing and modifying existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
- Interfaces with business units including middle management and/or internal resources to ensure quality and timeliness through the testing of project/release work.
- Gathers and documents requirements and participates in the design, development and improvement to infrastructure.
- Reviews system functionality and operational problems and determines required enhancements needed to improve system functionality and meet business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- CompTIA Security + certification required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics, or related field preferred
- Four or more years of technology analysis experience
- Experience working with the technology industry and technology architecture
- Experience working with the interface of information technology with functional groups within an organization
