These are just a few of the values that make K ¹ ² a great place to work. Technology and Training Support Specialist The TT Support Specialist is a key player in PD Technology Training (PD-TT). The TT Support Specialist is responsible for supporting hardware deployment and software licensing within Product Development (PD), and assists in the management of the hardware and software infrastructure required by Product Development. In addition, the PD-TT Support Specialist assists in the development of and conducts PD training sessions, and provides logistical/technical support for PD training activities. The PD-TT Support Specialist reports to the Director of PD Technology Training, and works regularly with other PD staff to ensure that their computing environments are configured and working properly. The specialist works in cooperation with the Systems and Technology Desktop Support team. Responsibilities: - Perform user administration for PD production platforms (DocuShare, CALMS CMS, NAS, etc.) - Perform site administration for the PD Confluence and JIRA environments - Maintain the PD lab - Work in conjunction with Desktop Support on troubleshooting/correction tasks for individual user and PD infrastructure environments - Act as a liaison between the Product Support and Systems and Technology organizations - Perform PD-specific setup/configuration of systems for PD staff members - Assist in designing/developing new PD support infrastructure and capabilities - Assist in technical evaluations of potential technologies to include in K12 products and assessments of competitive products/capabilities - Maintain the PD technical training facilities - Conduct user training sessions on PD production platforms and technical infrastructure - Provide logistics and technical support for PD training activities - Assist the Sr. Training Specialist to develop PD training programs Requirements: Qualifications: Experience: - Minimum of one year in Windows XP end-user technical support - Minimum of one year administering server-based information environments (web servers, document management systems, etc.) - One to three years participation on project teams with multiple responsibilities Required Skills: - Self-starting, self-directed team player who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Proven ability to follow through and meet critical milestones/deadlines - High degree of competence in Windows environments - High degree of competence with software such as Excel, Word, Relational Database Management Systems (RDMS), etc. - Excellent communication skills - Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of technical and non-technical personnel (internal SME ??s, stakeholders, etc.) - Pro-active person with excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills - Ability to accept responsibility and display motivation to complete tasks in a timely manner while working both independently and as part of a team - Flexible and able to adapt to change on a regular basis Preferred Skills: - Working knowledge of HTML, SGML, and XML - Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and/or DocuShare - Experience in Unix/Linux environments - Experience working with remote users - Ability to manipulate data and write/run SQL queries - Ability to translate user requirements into system specifications - Experience providing technical and logistical support in a training organization Education: - BS in Information Science, Computer Science, or business-equivalent combination of training and experience EOE and Drug-Free Workplace Apply Online
