Technology Buyer / Market Data Administrator – Procurement recruitment
Technology Buyer / Market Data Administrator is required for a leading independent Quant Hedge Fund firm in London. The role involves being responsible for the delivery of consistent, high quality, accurate data to core business processing systems, minimising operational errors and avoiding losses.
Responsibilities will include:
• Create and define the procurement IT strategy
• Manage the entire end to end procurement process, from the initial identification of suppliers to the on-going management of supplier relationships.
• Liaison with data vendors on quality, service and pricing issues.
• Reporting responsibility for market data feeds
• Monitoring and review of existing and potential Market Data suppliers.
• Assist with process of vendor change or vendor service changes.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers for achieving cost reduction and lower purchase prices.
• Carry out research into new hardware, software market data, and telecom technologies and providers.
Technology Buyer / Market Data Administrator must have:
• Experience as a project administrator / project coordinator / IT administrator.
• Be degree educated or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
• Excellent IT skills. Advanced levels of MS office.
• Strong negotiation skills. Confident communicator both verbally and in writing.
