We are looking to grow our Technology Advisory practice within our rapidly growing CPG sector and are recruiting across all levels.

Example Engagements

IT Strategy, Sourcing and Procurement

• IT Strategy Development: Assist clients develop a technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with and supports their key business priorities. Ensure that IT is able to act as a key enabler for business value.

• IT Sourcing: Allow clients to develop a sourcing strategy and delivery model to support the business needs at optimal cost. Assess different vendor capabilities and commercial propositions and develop   recommendations for future state. Support clients through the sourcing and selection process, and transition to the new deliver model.

IT Effectiveness

• IT Operating Models: Support a senior IT leadership team or business sponsor to develop an IT Operating Model, outlining the strategic aims of the organisation, and then defining the various components  of the IT function, including roles, processes, controls and potentially tools.

• IT Assessments: Undertake IT maturity assessments, potentially across all elements of the IT function. Such an assignment would examine how business alignment, strategy, architecture, development and operations are currently being run, and seek to understand issues with capability, process and governance. The assignment would conclude with a set of recommendations and next steps.

Technology and Solutions Architecture

• Identifying and setting out the architectural components that provide a framework to facilitate the provision of technology and business solutions

Information Architecture Governance

• Information Strategy, Architecture and Governance: Identifies and lays out architectural components that provide a framework to facilitate storage, integration, usage, access, and delivery of data assets    across the enterprise

Technical projects planning and delivery

• IT Systems Delivery: Enabling client organisations to operate more efficiently and compete more effectively through the successful delivery of systems that are at the core of their operations. Combining strong project/risk management and deep technical and functional industry expertise to assist our clients in the implementation of systems that will enable them to transform their business.

• Technical project / Programme Management: Leading the development and delivery of complex technology projects and programmes for both business and IT.

Advanced Analytics

• Digital Transformation: Developing the IT strategy, governance and infrastructure to support a CPG client's digital marketing strategy. Support client with requirements definition, operating model development, sourcing and implementation of new governance and delivery model.

• Transformation Analytics: Implement and deliver an analytic strategy for our clients

Enterprise Information Management

• Master Data Management, Data Integration, Retention, and Archiving, Data Quality Management and Data Privacy and Security: to addresses the management, frameworks and harmonization and integrity of enterprise data which is vital to ensuring a consistent and complete view of master data across the enterprise.

Enterprise Content Management

• Online presence Web Content Management: Support our client in the definition of their online presence strategy and the setup of tools to achieve better brand awareness and marketing efficiency. 

-   Enable the end users to easily create and publish personalised content to Intranets, Internets and Extranets.

• Document Management Knowledge Management: Creation, management, and sharing of   electronic documents, allowing for storage, retrieval, tracking, and administration of documents within an organisation

Role Requirements 

There are three sector specific  role requirements in addition to a need for junior Consumer Business technology consultants

• Role 1 - CPG - FMCG including Food Beverage, Tobacco, Household, Personal Care

• Role 2 - Retail - UK and Global retailers

• Role 3 - Travel Hospitality and Leisure - including gaming / betting solutions

Experience with industry-standard ERP and custom tools and platforms in these areas will be valued.

Direct personal client contacts in each sector will be valued.

Each role will take a senior position in the industry segment reporting to a partner and working with existing CB technology teams.

Candidates will be expected to help drive the growth of technology consulting revenue in the segment in accordance with the senior role definition below.

Senior roles (D, SM and M)

As a senior candidate, as well as the above you will be expected to demonstrate that you have experience of working with senior IT executives and helping to challenge, influence and support them in agreeing a way forward.

You will also be expected to fulfil the following:

• Possess a strong commercial awareness and be able to demonstrate a track record of creating, selling and delivering large scale engagements.

• Plan and staff engagements

• Lead engagements or a portfolio of smaller engagements; size and fees vary by grade

• Take responsibility for client billing and cash collection

• Develop new and sell-on sales opportunities by promoting Deloitte propositions, capabilities and maintaining ongoing client relationships

• Lead bids and manage the sales/negotiation process through to signing of the engagement letter

• Lead or play a key role in co-ordinating an area of IT practice development (e.g. Training, Marketing, Communications or Recruitment)

• Develop a personal contact network across Deloitte and in the marketplace

• Support the career development of others by acting as a counsellor to a group of TI consulting staff

• Support the continued growth of the business through contributing to the wider development of the practice (e.g. supporting the development of propositions, training, marketing, communications and   recruitment activities.

Junior Roles / Development Team Roles (M, SC, C) 

As a practitioner in our Technology practice, your role will focus on providing expert advice and the management and delivery of client engagements, as well as internal sales and practice development activity. You will be expected to take a lead role in developing strong, ongoing relationships with our key clients and become a "trusted advisor" in all things technology-related.
