Job Summary Responsibilities
Technology Infrastructure provides global thought leadership, solution development, delivery and support for a broad suite of technology products and services at Goldman Sachs. It leverages global expertise to develop leading-edge technology solutions that meet business demands and differentiate the firm's technology offerings in the marketplace. Technology Infrastructure enables the operation of the firm by managing an extensive compute platform and global communication networks, while addressing technology, compliance and reputational risk and resilience.
Global Services within Technology Infrastructure designs, implements and manages the technology infrastructure, operational footprint, and operating risk of the firm. Its components are organized functionally as Client Services, Compute Services, Services Engineering, Services Operations and Strategic Management.
The Technology Infrastructure organization is seeking a senior infrastructure manager to manage and deliver technology support services for the firm’s computing infrastructure in the Asia Pacific region.
The primary responsibilities will be to manage a group of technologists who provide IT services across a wide scope of technologies: UNIX, Windows, Networking, Storage, Tele-Communications, Datacenter, End User Support (Help Desk), etc. The scope of the role will span a broad range of services delivered to Application Development and businesses within the firm.
The manager’s responsibilities will include setting and executing a program for quality service delivery, developing the budget for the group and managing the financials; setting work and project priorities; and interfacing with senior divisional business clients and their aligned application development leadership. He or she will be a strong advocate for the region and will provide advice and guidance on driving the global services strategy within the region with strong cross regional coordination, often interacting with functional global managers.
Requirements:
• Over fifteen years of progressive experience in managing technology infrastructure groups
• Experience managing a group of 60 plus technology infrastructure professionals
• Background in managing complex computing and end-user support organizations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, organizational, oral and written communication skills
• Program management experience
• Self-driven, motivated, goal oriented and willing to take on increased responsibilities
• Delivery oriented - used to meeting strict deadlines, while producing quality work
• Emphasis on developing support structures that scalable and cost effective
• Working in a demanding environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent education/work experience
