The Sales Services Technology (SST) Business Analysis team performs the business analysis for key applications and initiatives delivered by SST to the global Securities Division salesforce. The group applies an expertise in Sales Technology’s strategic applications and an in-depth understanding of the sales businesses to aid in the delivery of superior and holistic technology solutions to salespeople globally.

The team's two main areas of focus are: Management of major platforms used by the global salesforce on an on-going basis and Business analysis for new applications/projects that are delivered by Sales Services Technology.

The team drives the strategic direction of SST initiatives by working in partnership with sales businesses in the Securities Division globally. We manage, market, and refine the platforms to help our businesses drive revenue, increase customer retention and satisfaction, and communicate the Goldman Sachs brand to our institutional clients.
This individual will serve as a liaison between the Securities Division sales community in Asia and the development teams in global Sales Services Technology. He/she will be involved from start to finish – from the initial idea generation with business stakeholders, to working closely with the design and development teams, and assisting with the implementation strategy for the finished product.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise between the Securities Division salesforce, Sales Management and the Sales Technology teams
• Build strong relationships with key sales business stakeholders in the Asia region
• Gather and document business and functional requirements
• Use in-depth business knowledge to  identify and define detailed product requirements and use cases
• Create functional specifications documentation
• Collect and analyze user feedback, prioritize requests and then communicate it in  a way that is actionable to the development teams
• Use financial product knowledge and understanding of business workflows to provide functional support to Securities Division salespeople on new Sales Services Technology applications and functional offerings
• Drive user adoption for Sales Services Technology applications through marketing and training strategies
• Analyze usage statistics and perform business intelligence analysis and reporting
• Participate in user acceptance testing
• Support the functions/processes around the operation of the major SST platforms
• Support application rollouts including deployment planning and execution of end-user training and documentation

Basic Qualifications:

 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead/manage projects independently
• Strong interpersonal skills – must be experienced with dealing with senior members of the firm
• Proven ability to negotiate priorities across business and technology stakeholders
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
• Ability to analyze, understand, and communicate complex environments with many moving parts and interdependencies
• Excellent issue analysis/resolution skills
• Strong client focus – attitude that focuses on the customer (GS Securities Division Sales) – ability to see the customer’s point of view and be the proxy for the customer
• Financial industry experience
• Basic product knowledge of businesses in the Securities Division
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
