Technology Financial Services-Business Analyst/Reporting recruitment

Technology Financial Services (TFS) is responsible for insuring accurate financial reporting of the firm’s Technology expenditures. TFS main functions are: Financial Control, Financial Analysis, Business Unit Support, and Administration (e.g. contracts management).
Position Summary Description:
Financial reporting and analysis for capital projects, technology depreciation and the cabling product.
Job Responsibilities:
Technology Depreciation
• Understand the drivers of depreciation expense
• Prepare variance explanations as required
• Prepare the annual depreciation expense budget and quarterly forecasts as required
• Prepare estimate for Corporate Controllers as required
Cabling (Premise Wire) Product
• Review data center services monthly invoices to insure proper coding
• Establish monthly accruals and other accounting adjustments
• Provide purchasing system support for cabling requisitions
Major Building / Data Center
• Assist with understanding major building and data center project activities and how they impact the financials
• Assist in the preparation of any required major building cost reporting
• Provide financial support to the Work closely as required with project managers to understand project particulars
• Provide TFS approvals for JMAC project budgeting process
Other
• Maintain open Purchase Order aging analysis and identify PO’s that should be closed
• Assist in monthly firm wide and technology infrastructure capital reporting and analysis activities
Systems
• Develop subject matter expertise in the Firm’s financial systems primarily Essbase, Peoplesoft Project Costing, Asset Management, MAP Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Capital Planning Tool (CPT) and Clarity.
SKILLS
• 5+ years financial analysis, reporting and liaising with operational resources required
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical background
• Extensive attention to detail
• Ability to interact effectively with a broad range of personnel
• Self starter
• Expertise with Microsoft Office suite of applications
EDUCATION
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA desired.
