Technology Lead for Principal Trading Firm

Position Description
Lead the development of our next generation platform utilizing cutting edge technology to expand the firm’s proprietary trading business. This role includes systems architectural design, hands-on development, staff mentoring, strategic planning, project management, planning, etc. This is a great role for that bright and energetic person wanting to join other professionals who are currently developing leading technology. In addition to the candidate receiving excellent compensation and benefits, s/he will be challenged and grow professionally in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment. Candidate must have prior Futures Equities – CEP Engine / OMS building experience.
Technical Experience:
- Project Management / Business Analyst experience
- Strong expertise with C++/STL on Unix / Windows
- Knowledge and experience with C# / .Net / Object Oriented Programming / Design Patterns
- Experience building Futures order management systems / risk servers / execution connectivity
- Database Knowledge: MSSQL ,MySQL
- Understanding of CEP engines /scripting /scanning a plus
- Strong de-bugging and performance enhancement skills
- 7+ year’s similar experience with an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or engineering

- Ability to work with a distributed development team
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Willingness to take on tasks both big and small
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Pro-active thinker with the ability to spot problems before they arise
- Relocation to Charlotte, NC required
