Technology Product Manager – Funds recruitment
With your Product partners in Funds, you will establish the product direction and manage the full Product Management life cycle of the following existing and emerging client-facing web and data delivery services: Funds Services Reporting (FSR), TA Reporting, HFA's Middle Office dashboard, and TradeFlow. As new needs emerge you will work with the Product partners to define the product roadmap and evaluate build vs. buy alternatives, and you will work with our clientsTechnology and vendors to deliver the new service.
You will also be responsible for managing the priorities and Book of Work for Funds with the Product Partner relating to enhancements to the existing services in the three major releases as well as the Client Response Unit, which provides rapid response to client reporting requests.
You will be the subject matter expert with respect to the web services as well as with the underlying data and you will assist in solutioning requests from key clients.
As Technology Product Manager for Funds you will manage 1-2 staff professionals and you will
be responsible for driving the product direction and development/enhancement of these services end-to-end, from product architecture and strategy, to requirements, building the global implementation and support model, and the client experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and experienced individual to play a leading role in SFS Information Services managing key services and defining and developing a new set of transformational products and services for our client.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
This role will require a combination of Product management and Technology management skills. You will act as the bridge between functional partners globally and the primary IT vendor to meet market and client requirements provide product direction with relentless focus on the overall client experience:
- Ideally, will have 3+ years previous experience of Product and/or Technology Management of client-facing products and/or services in the software and/or financial services industries;
- Ideally, will have 3+ years previous experience managing a software/technology delivery organization, a track record of success and a good knowledge of best practice development methodologies and processes;
- You will have 5+ years in Fund Accounting and knowledge of both fund accounting and portfolio accounting practices
- Ideally, a business background in back-office and middle office securities processing - custody clearing operations, portfolio accounting and fund accounting.
- Should have good technical grounding in Computer Science or a related field, with excellent exposure to disciplines of application architecture and integration.
- Strong influencing skills; must have strong written and verbal communications.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: College degree in Business, Computer Science or related field, plus post-graduate qualification - MBA preferred.
