TASC is seeking a highly qualified and experienced software engineer to perform in a challenging environment supporting a high profile municipal client. Â In this role, the primary duty will be supporting an Independent Verification and Validation (IVV) effort related to the implementation and troubleshooting of a consolidated 911 system for the client. Specific duties will include: Analyzing current system configuration Recognizing potential systems failure based on software architecture and logical layout Performing systems testing in both a live and mockup environment, including extensive modeling of high call volumes and other complex simulations to understand system failures, failure effects, and their severity Performing root cause analyses of system failures Offering recommendations regarding software design and architecture to ensure system functionality within specifications The position will work within a team of other software engineers and systems architects to perform an overall audit of the current system and to provide technically sound and achievable recommendations for the resolution of failures.
