A TS/SCI clearance is required. Duties: Understands and appliesknowledge of telecommunications including: Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS), Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), Private Branch Exchange (PBX), Satellite phones including INMARSAT/BGAN, Iridium and Thuraya products, Cellular telephones including Code-Division Multiple Access (CDMA), GSM, Personnel Communications Service (PCS), Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS), and wideband systems (WB), VOIP and SKYPE networking as it relates to telephony, Telephony security. Integrates end-user input into the development process and testing and evaluation support; performs tasks related to voice and data telecommunications equipment installation, modification, troubleshooting, testing, repair, and maintenance; identifies and recommends mitigations for vulnerabilities related to the use of telephony; maps and configures telephone networks; conducts research and analysis; travels on temporary duty (TDY) to CONUS and OCONUS locations. Essential Job Functions Performs highly complex installations, updates, and maintenance of new and existing telecommunication systems and networks ensuring appropriate interfaces. Troubleshoots, identifies, repairs and/or replaces faulty communication system components. Troubleshoots communication system applications and software; identifies and corrects malfunctions and/or other operational problems. Develops network communication policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of network operations and interfaces. Designs telecommunication networks/systems, data communications, and database management and interfaces. Oversees complex terminal orders and cable installation, network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing and servicing in order to meet customer requirements. Monitors network interface and traffic statuses to provide early detection and isolation of issues. Performs special checks to ensure proper operation and security. Performs special preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of network communications equipment. Oversees the load configuration of central data communication processors; recommends purchases or upgrades of networks communications equipment. Approves action requests and specifies purchase requirement. Places orders and maintains relationships with vendors. Qualifications Basic Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. Nine or more years of experience in network communications Experience working with network systems and networking principles and practices Experience working with networking software and hardware Experience working with security systems and implementation procedures Possess Department of Defense (DoD) security access of ADP I, ADP II, or ADP III Possess Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance-TS/SCI required Pass background checks such as NAC, NACLC, and/or SSBI Other Qualifications Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work Coordination skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Remote Work Authorized: No Relocation Assistence: Not Available Clearance Level: TS/SCI
