Temporary Benefits Administrator Job in Edmonton, Alberta Canada
Primary Focus
The incumbent will provide day to day administrative support and benefit administration duties as they relate to the Enbridge pension, savings and benefit programs. Duties will also include some basic support for the Payroll team. This is a 7 month term position.
Responsibilities
- Accurate and timely entry of benefit elections and insurance approvals into PeopleSoft.
Verification of entries made by other team members. Assist with special data input
requirements. Shared with other admin
- Track all benefit forms sent to carriers. Shared with other admin
- Distribution/tracking of Sun Life insurance cards to employees
- Manage all stock pension/benefit forms and ensure benefit packages are assembled and
distributed to remote offices. Shared with other admin
- Provide general administrative support for Employee Services (office supplies, maintain
standard forms/templates, track and manage external mail, filing photocopying, scanning,
faxing). Shared with other admin.
- Organize employee information sessions (scheduling, sign-up, catering, material distribution,
etc). Shared with other admin
- Distribute employee communication * email and paper. Shared with other admin.
- Answer general benefit related queries from employees/retirees. Shared with other admin.
- Manage the distribution of information requests coming into the general benefits email inbox.

- Assist with annual dependent verification
- Creates Blackbooks * (Pension Benefit information for Retirees and Terminations)
- Assists with creating maternity leave letters
- Mails out maternity leaves and termination letters
- Runs report HR0166 after every pay (Pipeliners Club Report)
- Runs report HR0643 every Wednesday (Time Audit Reports)
- Assistance with special projects or other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Post-secondary secretarial/administrative assistant training or general business training.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in an office environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, email, Internet search tools and general computer usage
proficiency.
- Must have People soft experience
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skill with ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Highly discipline with regard to handling confidential information and ability to work with
minimal direct supervision.
- Well developed customer service skills.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
