Company in the manufacturing industry is in need of a temporary buyer/planner. You should have experience in the electronics industry and intermediate to advanced Excel is necessary. Long Term Temporary Position, Paying $18-$21/hr.
Responsibilities:
-Perform inventory management and purchasing tasks to maximize order fill rate and inventory turns.
-Determine purchasing requirements and stocking levels for high volume products/vendors.
-Manage product life cycles to minimize inventory obsolescence.
-Negotiate pricing with assigned suppliers, process purchase orders and manage suppliers to ensure that all purchase order requirements are satisfied.
-Maintain relations with assigned suppliers to ensure satisfaction of purchase order requirements including expediting product deliveries as required.
-Set up and maintain Oracle database for suppliers, products, pricing, category changes, buyer assignments as well as order status and delivery information.
-Interface and coordinate with Accounts Payable for resolution of supplier invoicing and payment issues.
-Act as primary contact for supplier sales representatives.
-Recommend, enter, process and manage all inventory product returns.
-Recommend new suppliers and/or new products for sourcing
-Special projects as assigned.
4 year College Degree is required along with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. You must have demonstrated purchasing, inventory management and negotiation skills. Microsoft Office, Access, etc. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
