Performs a variety of electronic and/or electro-mechanical assembly operations following method sheets, drawings and standardized work instructions. Performs setups and adjustments to equipment while holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Interfaces with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering departments and personnel. Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations. Work entails assembling a variety of mechanical and microelectronic components following established procedures in assembly operations. May involve incorporating engineering changes and rework of production fallout. This work typically takes place in a clean room environment.
Demonstrated ability in the application of requisite skills and applies additional skills and knowledge acquired through experience to perform the more complex tasks of the position. Generally receives no instructions on routine assignments while under little or no supervision. Receives general instructions on new work that is generally reviewed upon completion.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and physical dexterity required.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly functions.
- Ability to operate machinery such as precision pick and place machines, soldering reflow ovens, wire bonders, and various precision hand placement tools.
- Acute hand eye coordination.
- Ability to read and understand (in English), blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings and written procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
Background
- HS diploma or equivalent Technical certificate (prefered)
- 4+ years of experience Clean Room experience (prefered)
