Temporary Customer Service Rep/Raw Materials Planner
Responsible for ordering all raw materials, scheduling receipts of raw materials, inventory days on hand, communication with Logistics Site Schedulers, and tracking vendor performance. Responsible for production and inventory planning based on business demand and customer orders. Serve customers by providing product and service information. This is a 3-6 month assignment.
Responsibilities:
* Serves as a liaison between the conversion departments, vendors and Corporate Procurement.
* Tracks the effectiveness/performance of vendors and raw materials.
* Releases and schedules receipts of all raw materials, including boxes, dividers, labels, color and miscellaneous production supplies.
* Schedules production of preforms based on the site's Business Demand Plan.
* Reviews long term raw materials and plans inventory builds.
* Manages days on hand inventory of raw materials and preforms.
* Takes an active role in raw material inventories as required.
* Coordinates outbound raw material shipments with Logistics.
* Communicates effectively with other teams in the plant to ensure that customer expectations are met consistently.
* Coordinates raw material shortages with Logistics Site Schedulers.
* Maintains file maintenance system as it pertains to raw materials.
* Manages PICS/SAP system and ensures timely and correct documentation of data.
* Adheres to work instructions and makes suggestions for continual improvement of processes as they pertain to BOS/ISO standards.
* All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management and/or related field a plus
* APICS Certification a plus
* 4-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing facility preferred
* Computer literacy (windows based) mandatory; SAP knowledge a must
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Functions:
* Regularly stand, reach, and move around facility on a regular basis, up to 8 hours per day.
* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
