Temporary Pension & Benefits Analyst Job in Edmonton, Alberta Canada

Primary Focus

Work with the benefits team to implement and administer the Enbridge pension, savings and benefits plants for the employees of Enbridge (Canadian and US). This is a 7 month term position.

Responsibilities

- Process new hires, retirements and inter-company transfers as they relate to all benefits.

- Assist with the annual benefit open enrollment process.

- Process Retirement and Death payments

- Finalize Deferred pension and update control

- Run Pension Estimates

- Finalize Termination and Retirement and update control

- Investigate Monthly/bi-weekly edits issues related to membership, Beneficiaries and Payroll

- Update Tracking spreadsheets for all transfers, breaks or plan membership changes

- Assist employees using Enbridge Financial Navigator Modeling Tool

- Assist with montly reconciliation process

- Identification and resolution of processing problems relating to PeopleSoft, Ariel, Pension

Choice Tool and Financial Navigator.

- Assist with year-end processes and reconciliation

- Assist with annual employee choice process. Update Beneficiary and marital status changes

and update tracking sheet

- Ensure benefits, savings plan and pension eligibility and procedures are administered

according to the appropriate contracts and plan texts

- Conduct employee information sessions for new hires, retirements and introduction of new

options/changes to savings/pension/benefit programs.

- Program implementation and documentation (plan documents and web sites) as it relates to

the Enbridge suite of benefits (pension, savings, benefits).

- Ensure HR policies and procedures are administered and updated as per legislative

requirements.

- Process Leaves ( Maternity, Personal and Parental )

Qualifications

- Must possess working knowledge of employee benefit plan legislation, terminology, concepts

and administrative practices. 3 * 5 years of progressively responsible experience.

- Must have 3 - 5 years of defined benefit and defined contribution pension plan administration.

- Must have strong computer skills with extensive experience with HRIS and pension

administration systems and various desktop computing products such as Excel, Word,

People Soft.

- Undergraduate degree in a related discipline supplemented by a benefit and/or pension

certificate. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation would be an asset.

- Excellent team building, problem solving and written/verbal communication and presentation

skills.

- Membership in benefits/pension association i.e. CPBI, HRIA or ACPM.

- Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
