Job Responsibilities
Are you the go-to person when your friends and family need help with their computers?  Do you enjoy working with people to help find solutions to their technical issues?  We are seeking to fill a Desktop Support position, and you could be the perfect fit!  

You will be responsible for coordinating, diagnosing and troubleshooting incoming employee calls and providing support services to employees, both local and remote, with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop, or network service.  Escalate technical issues as appropriate to designated technical personnel and provide case status updates to management and end-users. Those people skills will come into play as you support and maintain effective relationships with users. Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to remote IT support.

Experience/Skills Required

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years related experience
• US Citizenship
• 24x7 on-call availability
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Experience with component-level diagnosis and repair of computer systems and a thorough understanding of PC- Architecture hardware.
• Solid understanding of MS Windows desktop productivity tools.
• Proficiency in the setup, installation and maintenance of desktop systems operating systems, applications and hardware.
• Experience using enterprise desktop imaging software such as Symantec Ghost
• Ability to work flexible schedules during maintenance windows

Preferences:

• Solid understanding of OSI layers 1-3 and Windows administration
•  2+ years experience with Windows XP and  Windows 7
• A+, Network+ and MCP Certification
