Overview:

 

Under general direction, independently develops, modifies, and implements moderately to highly complex information systems that are thorough and accurate and conform to MST standards.  Translates customer requirements, recommending system solutions and formulating detailed specifications from which programs are written.    Independently researches and resolves more complex technical problems.  A top level technical contributor in one or more highly specialized phases of application system analysis and programming with strong business application knowledge.  May serve as primary system support for two or more complex information systems based on in-depth system knowledge.  May serve in the MST Solutions Framework roles of Development Lead, Project Manager, Testing Advocate, or Operations Advocate.

This Senior Programming Analyst position entails development and support of software for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) application. Responsibilities include developing Cobol, JCL programs using Teradata database platform, conducting technical code reviews, developing technical specifications, leading other junior developers in coding, unit testing and documentation and
ensuring compliance to all quality assurance process procedure.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

·         3 to 5 years understanding Teradata concepts, design and SQL

·         3 to 5 years developing Teradata SQL

·         3 to 5 years using Teradata Utilities

·         3 years experience with DB2 databases (Preferred)

·         3 years experience with Cobol programming (Preferred)

·         Experience with mainframe batch JCL and Control M

·         Experience with TSO, Endeavor, FileAid, IBM utilities

·         Understanding of retail is a plus
