Position’s Mission:

Provide in-depth Protegrity product knowledge and support with strong database expertise to Protegrity clients.

 

Position Summary:

The Technical Support Engineer is a key player in an exciting, customer interfacing role that couples technical and client relationship skills. The Technical Support Engineer will work closely with our clients to resolve any Protegrity software related issues. The Technical Support Engineer will also be a conduit of customer information to the RD and Product Management teams. The position is part of the Protegrity Technical Services team.

 

Detailed Responsibilities:

The Technical Support Engineer will be expected to provide Protegrity Product and Database knowledge and expertise that clearly establish credibility among our existing and potential customers. The Technical Support Engineer will:

·         Provide Tier 2 level support to the Protegrity customer base.

·         Support the implementation of Protegrity solutions. This will involve Protegrity and third party product (i.e. databases, operating systems, web services, networking, etc.) configuration and some development.

·         Understand and be able to write database scripts to validate and test data integrity and performance.

·         Consult and assist customer with fine-tuning Protegrity solution functionality and service optimization to meet customer’s business objectives.

·         Utilize our RD and Product Management teams in order to provide quick resolutions to client issues.

·         Effectively and efficiently multi-task, prioritize and organize assignments.

·         Maintain a dynamic upbeat presence with our customers and fellow team mates.

·         Provide excellent communication skills.

·         Perform other tasks and responsibilities as applicable.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

·         Prior experience supporting medium to large customers or projects.

·         Expertise in one for the following Databases (Oracle, Teradata, MS-SQL) with the understanding of Stored Procedures, Functions and Views.

·         Working knowledge of Unix, Linux and Windows based Operating Systems.

·         Exceptionally strong and tenacious problem solving and analytical skills.

·         Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to get along with diverse personalities.

·         Understanding of the role of technology in solving business related issues.
