Specific Job Description Review aeronautical information/publications when released to confirm that air navigation information and technical data content is accurate and correct. Initiate corrective action where discrepancies are discovered and, if necessary, accomplish amendment(s) for affected procedure(s). Determine, upon reviewing available data, operational requirements, and environmental limitations, as to whether an equivalent level of safety is maintained to support Flight Procedures Standards waivers. Coordinate as necessary with tech ops, air traffic personnel, and other contacts including regional and field FAA offices, National Flight Data Center, military and airline representatives, state and local and field FAA offices, National Flight Data Center, military and airline representatives, state and local aviation officials, and aircraft and airport operators. Evaluate the effect of proposed obstructions, altered or deactivated airports, NAVAID outages and revisions to controlled airspace as they affect instrument flight procedures. Take action to amend affected procedures, as required. Review the National Flight Data Digest and determine if published data Issue such NOTAM, as necessary, and follow up with procedure amendment if required. Evaluate existing Notices to Airmen (NOTAM) and initiate amendment actions to affected instrument approach procedure(s) or airway(s). Accomplish regional airspace and airport obstruction analyses. The contractor must evaluate the effect of obstructions on enroute and terminal instrument flight procedures based on national standards, user requirements, and professional knowledge. Standard Job Description Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing programs. Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements. Supports and participates in negotiations with customer. Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources. Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters. Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.
