Position:         DermaQuest Outside Territory Manager

Reports to:     National Sales Director

 

Description:    Successfully manage all aspects of a business with customers including physicians, medi-spas and high end spas with a drive to achieve overall sales and profit targets in a direct selling environment.  A professional image, positive attitude with strong inter-personal skills, excellent telephone communication skills, strong presentation skills and PC proficiency are required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the development of the sales territory by effectively servicing a predetermined group of existing DermaQuest accounts in the esthetician and medical markets and by prospecting (cold calling) potential accounts in order to meet the company’s on-going needs for opening new accounts.  Work independently and effectively in proposing new account opening orders and discounts.

 

Manage the accounts by:

•    Establishing and managing buying cycles

•    Assisting in shelf management and merchandising

•    Managing customer needs/requests

•    Managing disbursement of all information to accounts

•    Managing calendar of events.  Offer promotional planning activities to accounts; i.e., gift   baskets, new product launches.

•    Scheduling a minimum of 4 to 6 appointments per day

 

Other responsibilities include:

•    Maintain and build sales of already purchased products to those existing accounts.

•    Effectively build sales by introducing and selling other existing products not carried by those existing accounts.

•    Effectively build sales by introducing and selling new DermaQuest products as made available to the market.

•    Provide management with new account forecasts and planned strategies for growing existing accounts through the development of a 12 month business plan.

•    Effectively advise accounts of available education and assist in providing that education where applicable and to schedule field visits on a regular basis.

•    Assist in enrollment and participate in Education Seminars in their territories.

•    Participate in trade shows, classes, seminars, and any other activities outside the regular daily territory responsibilities as directed by management.

•    Meet the objectives and quotas assigned by management for any and all areas of performance.

•    Independently monitor and review performance on a continual basis to assure that expectations are being met; i.e., sales goals, new accounts, expansion of existing account depth, educational activities, consumer events, etc.

•    Provide any and all information required by the company, including but not limited to, monthly territory analysis reports.

•    Maintain a positive, professional manner and attitude in all business dealings as a DermaQuest representative.

•    To abide by all other company policies and procedures as presented in the DermaQuest Employee Handbook and Sales Policies and Procedures Manual.

 

Requirements:  Experience/Skills Required.

•    Proven successful track record of building and managing sales territory.

•    Minimum of 1-3 years of outside sales experience.  Prior experience in the Cosmeceutical industry strongly preferred.

•    Strong analytical skills and business acumen--demonstrated drive for results.

•    Excellent communication skills--verbal, non verbal and written including strong presentation abilities.

•    Demonstrate strong leadership skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build relationships.

•    Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment and be a team player.

•    Strong problem solving skills.

•    Must reside within the territory.

•    Undergraduate Degree preferred.

•    Computer proficiency a must - all MS Office programs and other analytical tools.
