Territory Manager:
Biolin Scientific develops scientific instrumentation for analyzing surface phenomena including interactions, reactions and conformational changes. Application areas include biomaterials, polymer and materials science, nanotechnology, drug discovery, etc…
Specific brands within Biolin Scientific are Q-Sense, Farfield, KSV NIMA and Attension and specific technologies are Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation Monitoring (QCM-D), Dual Polarization Interferometry (DPI), Langmuir Blodgett (LB), Surface Tension and Contact Angle analysis.
Biolin Scientific is actively searching for a Territory Manager to be located in the Mid-Atlantic area as part of our North American Sales Organization to support and promote the Q-Sense and Farfield instrumentation.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate with scientists in academia, industry and government labs about their work with a goal of learning what they do and what they need
• Based on those needs, share appropriate QCM-D or DPI application information to show that we can potentially help
• Respond to customers inquiries and provide routine customer support and troubleshooting
• Coordinate and conduct seminars and instrument demonstrations
• Attend and participate in conferences, trade-shows, and workshops to build sales pipeline
• Maintain working knowledge of literature reference database and applications
Scientific Development:
• Present oral presentations and posters at conferences and workshops
Qualifications:
• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical/Bio Engineering or similar field and expertise in surface science strongly preferred
• Some sales experience preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills (a record of presenting information to scientists)
• Ability to work in a fast paced, interdisciplinary environment
• Ability to work as part of a team of scientists, sales personnel and support staff to develop and expand the Biolin Scientific market
• Some travel is required
