We have an immediate need for a Test Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Test Engineer candidate is an intermediate level engineering position. The candidate must have Mechanical Engineering knowledge and an aerospace component testing background.
The candidate must be proficient in the following:
- Ability to create development qualification test procedures
- Test setup process - fixtures instrumentation
- Managing verification and validation tests
- Ability to create test reports.
- Similarity reports a plus
The candidate must be able to understand and execute the following:
- Maintain validation test schedule and manage each test step
- Manage, track, and update all procedures and reports
- Work with test facility in getting rig or test stand usage
- Expedite fabrication and pre-test of task hardware
- Solve any hardware procurement issues
- Test instrumentation installation and instrumentation usage
- Report test abnormities and mitigate any test issues
- Facilitate team meetings with IPD team, customer, and suppliers
- Status assigned Engineering tasks
- Creating Excel graphs from test results
Requirements:
- Technical knowledge and work experience with aerospace products
- Familiar with testing military (MIL) specs
- DOORs or a product requirements database
- Successful completion of test plans, test, and test reports
- Some leadership role in providing direction for 2 or more lab technicians or engineers on a team
- Ability to have a hands-on approach
- Working with test houses a plus
- Microsoft Word. Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project software
- Basic Mechanical Engineering background
- Knowledge of data acquisition software
- BSME or other Engineering Degree
