Test Engineer
My multi award winning client has a number of openings for Test Engineers to join their high growth and high morale business. My client has recently won the 'Excellence in Technology' Award at National Transport Event and are also ranked in the top 50 of The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 as one the UK's fastest growing technology businesses.
Test Engineer role and responsibilities:
• Co-ordinate the test strategy and plan with test lead/manager;
• Set up test environments (possibly with IT support);
• Execution and analysis of automated testing;
• Displays some specialised test knowledge or is willing to learn - e.g. security testing, performance testing (if wanting to move into a more technical role);
• Assist with mentoring activities;
• Assist with decision making based on progress reports;
• Possibly holds ISEB Intermediate certificate in Software Testing;
• Working towards ISTQB Advanced certificate in Test Management, Test Analysis or Technical Test Analysis (depending on preferred career path);
• Analysing, reviewing and assessing user requirements, specification and models for testability;
• Liaise with product owners and solutions architects to ensure early capture and resolution of requirements, specification or design issues;
• Reviewing, authoring and contributing to test plans;
• Creating test conditions in T-Plan to be the basis for test scripts;
• Maintenance of test tools (e.g. Jira, VirtualBox) As for all test roles - comply with all company policies and procedures for quality (ISO 9001), environment (ISO 14001) and information security (ISO 27001).
