Test Engineer (Power Electronics) Job
Job Overview:
This position is going to lead the redevelopment of test equipment for UX of OHV Power Electronics in Chile. (1700V 2000A). The person needs experience in medium voltage/power IGBT circuitry and the automated tests associated with them.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and document test plans, equipment, software, and interface to the product.
- Test Engineer will be responsible to lead support efforts to redesign, build, install, and startup a new set of functional test equipment upgrading existing platforms.
- Coordinating project at all stages with management, vendors, and end user facility personnel.
- Implement tests and train production test technicians in performing tests and normal troubleshooting processes.
- Some Travel to Chile
Job Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a BSEE or BSET degree and have experience in test engineering of manual and automated testing of systems for power electronic subassemblies.
- Must possess experience with design and programming of computer controlled test equipment.
- Operator Instructions and Test Documentation requires working knowledge of MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel plus CADD for simple electrical schematic and mechanical sketches.
- Must have project experience demonstrating work as a self-starting individual contributor.
- Desired Skills:
Skills and experience in leading all aspects of technical test development projects involving Electrical/Electronic Control Systems with Analog/Digital circuitry, electromechanical relays/contactors and complex circuit schematics and wiring. Automated test experience in programming using graphical language environment of Agilent-VEE or NI-Labview.
