Test Engineer Sr Professional- Fort Mead, MD- Secret clearance required Job in Fort Meade, Maryland US
We are seeking a candidates to support the Joint Interoperability Test
Command (JITC) at Ft. Meade, Maryland. Candidate will provide JITC with
specialized technical knowledge and expertise not available within the
JITC organization in the areas of Test and Evaluation (TE) of DISA
Enterprise services.
Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in one or
more of the following areas of testing:
- Interoperability, Effectiveness
and Suitability, or Information Assurance. - Knowledge and expertise
concerning the TE of mobile hardware/software (smart phones, widgets,
apps, etc...) - Design/testing of large scale E-mail exchange systems,
enterprise services TE, enterprise services monitoring, and Federal and
DoD regulatory and statutory requirements is required.
This position is contingent upon award of contract.
Required Skills
- The following experience is highly desired:
translation of customer requirements, Service Level Agreements, and
Concepts of Operational into executable test plans, to include
procedures and methodologies - Data collection; identification and
development of Enterprise-level risk management approaches;
identification and development of Mobility Application Services Plans;
and the TE of mobile applications. - In addition, candidate must demonstrate experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams and the communication of complex ideas verbally and in writing to senior-level personnel.
Candidate must currently possess a secret clearance or be able to
acquire a secret clearance from the DOD.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or related field preferred
- Six or more years of network testing experience
- Experience working with computer systems and their uses
- Experience working with telecommunications systems and their corresponding principles
- Experience working with network management and protocol system testing
- Experience working with scripting languages such as TCL, PERL, HP, etc
- Experience working with data transmission protocols such as TCP/IP, etc.
- Experience working with operating systems
- Experience working with protocols and technologies such as HTTP, SSL, FTP, SMTP, POP3, etc
- Experience working with network equipment: switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.
