Test Equipment Team Leader Job in Gloucestershire, South West Uk
Responsible for providing Test Equipment support to for Avionics or Power products in Supply Chain Manufacturing, ensuring the on-going availability of test facilities to support the manufacturing demand. Also, responsible for leading cell support resources, scoping, estimating, and procuring test equipment updates, and to be the primary point of contact to the Supply Chain Leadership team.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the resolution of Test Equipment issues arising in the Avionics or Power Products Cells
• Pro-active identification of Test Equipment repair and maintenance activities
• Implementation of Test Equipment hardware and software design changes
• Estimate the costs of Test Equipment repairs, replacement, and upgrades, securing funding (via Capital schemes, Product Groups etc)
• Deliver to agreed cost and schedule test solutions repairs/updates, or initiate the development of test solutions, to ensure Avionics or Power Products Cell demand requirements are supported
• Primary interface to the Avionics or Power Products Cell Leadership team, including daily status reporting as required
• Manage the Test Systems support engineers within the Avionics or Power cells
• Manage outsource support activities
• Develop the technical capabilities of the group
• Performance reviews for cell engineers
• Responsible for the acceptance of test equipment into the manufacturing environment
Key Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Experience of working with or within a high integrity electronic manufacturing or repairs environment
• Experience of developing and/or maintaining hardware and/or software for high integrity electronics/computing equipment
• Good understanding of test philosophies and types of testing employed in the release of Avionics and/or Power products.
