No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description This position is for a Structures Laboratory Customer Coordinator providing program-specific test portfolio management. Responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact between the Structures Laboratory and its internal customer organizations, managing all incoming work statement, providing preliminary validation of test requirements, managing initial planning activities, facilitating technical estimates with Structural Test subject matter experts, integrating technical estimates with Test Program Finance, and managing work statement changes with customers and Test Program Management. Communicate test program status to Test Program Management and directly to customers as needed. Develop and maintain metrics for program-level reporting. Support business planning and earned value management. Identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities. Integrate relative priorities for various work statements both amongst a given customers work statement and with those of other customers. May serve as Control Account Manager for structural tests and support regular earned value variance reporting. Manage work placement activities including both internal and external work placements. When required, serve as the primary point of contact for performance management for tests placed at external laboratories. Must understand technical capabilities of the structures laboratories and be capable of representing the structures laboratory with customers. Candidate should also have a basic understanding of the technical capabilities of other Test Evaluation capabilities. Works under minimal direction. This Complete knowledge includes high-level test SOW (test plans), resources (people, skills, facilities, equipment), sequencing and estimating. Complete ability to identify the (existing or missing) test processes required to effect a test program based on the unique contracting and teaming relationships that exist on a program. Preferred - Extensive and specialized knowledge of test program design (TPD) of Systems (aircraft, satellite, etc.), System of Systems, and product (e.g. key tenants of a test program during the program life cycle) and the process of establishing and integrating the TPD within the program master phasing plan via various program and test program review. Generic understanding of various test categories (Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Aerodynamics, Electrical, software, etc.). Typical Education/Experience Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years experience, Master's with 7 or more years experience or PhD with 4 or more years experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
