No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic Measurement and Test Equipment (MTE) and/or process equipment. Use calibration standards to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair MTE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and MTE /process equipment manufacturer's performance specifications. Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results. Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems. Associated Duties and Responsibilities: Route MTE/process equipment between receiving area, customer, and calibration lab. Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork. Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes. Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by higher grade technician. Perform visual check of MTE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear. Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes. Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes. Work with higher graded employees engaged in the calibration and certification of MTE, and assist in the development of new calibration processes and procedures. Perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results. DEFINITION OF TERMS *Basic MTE and process equipment e.g. Digital meters, probes, scopes, precision hand tools, process tools, surface plates, levels, optics (basic 2 dimensional), and items used to measure and record: force, mass, pressure, vacuum, temperature and hardness. Preferred - Complete knowledge and is proficient in the operation, integration, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automatic test equipment (e.g., Avionics Intermediate Shop AIS, Tactical Intermediate Support System TISS, Servocylinder Test Set STS, Electrical Optical Test Set EOTS, Hybrid Test Set HTS, Intermediate Avionics Test Set IATS ) and associated software, Test Program Sets (TPS), and programming codes. + Electronics Electro-Mech Basic - General understanding of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies and the ability to solve assigned problems. Preferred - Complete knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies and the ability to perform complex problem solving. + Engineering Drawings Specs Basic - General ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Preferred - Complete ability to read, understand, and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications. + General/Precision Test Meas Basic - General knowledge of and demonstrates an ability to use general and precision tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, multimeters, etc.). Preferred - Complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of general and precision measuring devices (e.g., Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR), multimeters, oscilloscopes, noise/bus/logic/spectrum analyzers, calipers, micrometers, etc.) and associated calibration requirements. Basic Qualifications For Consideration Do you have a minimum of one year of calibration experience? Do you have a minimum of one year experience in Dimensional and Physical metrology? Do you have a minimum of one year of experience of the science of measurement? Typical Education/Experience Level 2 - AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 3 - AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
