My client is looking for a driven Test Lead in their Woking office (due to relocate to Bracknell 2012) to work in a team developing .NET applications and utilising automation, you will need proven hands-on automated testing, be responsible for ensuring all software products meet quality standards, mentor existing test engineers using Agile and Scrum approach, and will also lead and champion testing best practice.
Essential Skills Experience:
· Automation tool experience
· Working knowledge of RDBMS (SQL Server and Oracle).
· Able to write SQL queries.
· Knowledge of setting up and managing virtualised test labs (VMWARE, ESX and/or Hyper-V).
· Essential; Experienced working in an Agile / Scrum environment.
· Solid understanding of test automation.
Desirable
· C# / .Net.
· Knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Lab Manager.
· ISEB Qualified.
· Science/computing related degree.
· Experience of test automation and using automated testing tools highly desirable.
· Understanding of IT Service Management.
Role Responsibilities for the Test Lead:
· The role works as part of a single cross-functional Scrum team, but is responsible for quality and testing best practice and consistency of approach across all the Scrum teams.
· Be an active, hands-on member of a Scrum team.
· Take overall responsibility for the quality of our client’s software products.
· Drive testing best practice across the department.
· Establish appropriate test processes and strategies.
· Drive the continuing development of the testing skills within the department.
· Lead an effort to automate more of our test processes.
· Take ownership of the test lab and its continual improvement.
£45-60,000
