Well join the Windows Graphics team! The Windows Graphics team is looking for an experienced Senior Test Lead to own testing of CPU based graphics rendering, and the High Level Shader Language (HLSL) language and compiler. As a Senior Test Lead, you will directly manage a team of 5-6 SDETs while working closely with your fellow PM and Developer Leads to successfully guide the team forward with responsibilities including: - Attract, lead, train, mentor, grow, and retain SDET talent at all levels - Work closely with the PM and Development teams to drive quality through design, implementation, and the entire product cycle - Participate in product spec reviews, design, triage, scheduling, and other product development process - Develop comprehensive test plans assuring the overall quality of the project, including functionality, security, performance and scalability - The opportunity to write test cases and test code - Drive quality criteria for release and signoff - Work with fellow Test Leads and Managers to ensure engineering excellence initiatives are driven effectively across the group Qualifications: - Passion for, and commitment to making great software - 7+ years of shipping high quality products - 4+ years of successfully managing people and teams through release cycle(s) - Thorough understanding of the software development process and demonstrated proficiency in designing test plans - Able to work effectively both within a team and cross-group to create designs, identify and manage dependencies, drive issues to resolution, and ship under tight deadlines. - Excellent organizational, cross-group collaboration, communication, and motivational skills; a ?lead by example? attitude. - Strong Test Engineering background and understanding - Prior product development and in depth hands-on, working knowledge of .NET, C/C++/C#, SQL, and HLSL is a plus - Prior graphics software development experience is a huge plus - A BA/BS degree or above in Computer Science or a related technical field W:WE
