Test Manager *
Corporate Operations Group within Macquarie (COG) provides specialist professional services, human resources, workplace infrastructure, and technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses. The primary purpose of COG is to support and enhance the value of Macquarie through the creation of an efficient, scalable operating model. This is evident across the activities of each of the divisions which comprises of Business Improvement and Strategy Division (BIS), Business Services Division (BSD), COG Business Management, Human Resources Division (HR), Market Operations and Technology.
The Technology Group provides each major business in Macquarie with a dedicated team that works closely with that business to understand its particular technology needs.
Corporate and Asset Finance (CAF) is a leading structured asset finance and leasing specialist. Technology CAF operates a team of highly specialist testers based on and offshore. A Test Manager is required to:
- manage the current resources and workloads of the test team
- co-ordinate testing across multiple geographic locations and multiple business areas within CAF
- extend the capabilities of the test team to better serve the business
- Co-ordinate with and guide different stages / types of testing, such as system, integration, performance and user acceptance testing - working closely with Business Analysts and Developers
- Record test risks issues and escalate as appropriate
- Co-ordinate test environment, test data preparation and set-up
- Formulate the Test Strategy/Plan for upcoming projects
- Ensuring accuracy is maintained through the test cycle
- Produce test objectives, test cases and reports, as well as any other documentation required for projects on-demand
Keys Skills Required:
- manage and motivate an onshore and offshore team - remote management
- test management experience managing multiple projects and multiple development teams
- Advanced level understanding of HP Quality Centre and HP Quick Test Professional
- Very Strong Knowledge of testing methodologies, processes and defect management
- Experience with Java/J2EE Web based environments
- Experience with Sybase and Oracle databases
- Experience with Terminal emulator environments
- Ability to think laterally and outside of the box
- Very Strong analytical and communications skills
- Advanced Level Tester Certified
- Strong understanding of software configuration, change request management and release management processes
To be considered for this role you must have experience successfully managing an offshore/ remote test team.
