Test Manager – Banking Payments recruitment

A leading Investment Bank is seeking a Hands-on Test Manager with Banking/Payments expertise to join its growing Test Promotions team in the UK. As a Test Manager (QA) you will be part of the multinational bank to work within their Transactions Programme. The successful applicant will take responsibility for software testing for projects through both tactical coordination for the engagement as well as hands on involvement.

Core responsibilities:
1. Work with other Project and Support Managers, various development and business teams to provide effective hands-on management of testing activities (system acceptance, functional and non-functional) and ensuring delivery to time, quality and budget.
2. Report effectively about Test engagement activities to the Test Promotions Team Leader and assist him to improve the capabilities of the Practice.
3. Ensure all testing issues and risks are identified and managed.
4. Undertake project test estimating, planning tracking, monitoring and reporting for the delivery of a test plan against the overall project plan.

The successful Test Manager will have solid test management experience in a similar role, gained in a Banking and Payments environment eg SWIFT, BACS, CHAPS, SEPA etc. In depth experience of managing the testing of complex changes to Banking and Payments systems, with a good knowledge of industry standards and market developments.

Ideally you will be able to 1. Demonstrable track record of hands-on project delivery in testing across multiple projects. 2. Experience with integration testing of payments flows preferred. 3. Experience of assessing regression requirements and implementing tools for automation. 4. Knowledge of a number of key technologies and tools and their role within the test sector e.g. HP Quality Centre necessary. 6. Experience of analysing non-functional business requirements and assisting in the development of non-functional test harnesses interpretation of NFT results for performance estimation of systems. 5. Configuration management in multiple environments.
