Test Engineer
We are looking for a Test Engineer that will participate in testing the B2C and B2B work streams. Working within a Java/ Linux environment you will take ownership of complex testing tasks including formulation of test cases, test execution and generation of test reports. You will troubleshoot quality issues, make testing improvement recommendations and participate in improvement initiatives.
You will evolve the testing environment and standardisation of tools to include manual and automated test suites and custom test harnesses. You will apply approved technical approaches to testing to ensure that applications are evaluated in an analytical and systematic manner. You will develop test options with varying degrees of scope, risk, and duration and presents to customer for approval. Coordinates with various technical stakeholders to resolve pre-requisites for testing and issues found during tests.
Ideally we are looking for experience in the following:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in the following scripting and programming languages Perl or Python, Java, Ruby
* Experience in the following technologies and tools: Chef, Jenkins, Selenium, JMeter, YourKit
* Excellent Linux experience with testing the following technologies: Apache, Squid, DHCP, FreeRadius
* Automated, Load, Stress and Functional Test Experience
* Excellent troubleshooting ability and able to identify the root cause
* Excellent SQL knowledge and RDBMS experience in Postgresql / Oracle / MySQL or any NoSQL technology experience
* Excellent network knowledge with the ability to configure Cisco equipment an advantage
* Experience in working for any of the following industries SME, Social Media, ISP or WiFi Operators
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to learn on the job and working under pressure.
