Ciber Inc. is searching for a test release planner. To ensure that Enterprise Quality Management team delivers high quality software releases by coordinating the testing activities beginning with planning and continuing through deployment. The qualified candidate will need to be able to synthesize a variety of data to evaluate the health of the projects as well as the overall release health.The position requires attention to detail while monitoring metrics and health indicators. In this role it is necessary to have strong planning, time management, analytical, and communication skills. This role also includes process improvement, process documentation, project intake, auditing test deliverables, auditing Quality Center, monitoring compliance, and notifying management of key issues for releases. - Coordinates activities required for the planning and execution of the testing phase of projects assigned to the Enterprise Quality Management organization. Produce a daily status report that reflects the status and progress of testing for the current and upcoming releases. This includes producing metric reports for defects and test execution as well as pursuing additional details for critical issues. - Prepare accurate and succinct presentations and reports for management to present the status of EQM to other directors and executives. - Observe, compare, and monitor data to report compliance of projects with EQM process standards. - Review and analyze project health indicators and follow-up with test leads regarding any warning signs for their project. - Determine release readiness and engage in project wrap-up activities and cleanup to prepare for deployment. - Produce analysis and metrics for executive ad hoc requests. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities (i.e., less important and/or less frequently performed duties responsibilities): - Interactions with key EQM players: Test Managers, Test Leads, Project Managers, and Analysts. Attending meetings related to the release or projects within the release. - Respond to inquiries or concerns regarding processes, metrics, status, or compliance. - Escalate issues and defects to management as appropriate. Coordinate and notify relevant parties of mitigation plans including weekend testing. - Create and update process documentation based on changes and improvements to processes. - Review test plans and exit reports for completeness and accuracy. - Audit and maintain the project requirements as input for the EQM Automated Reports. - Report on Night of Deployment testing activity. - Project Intake for release candidates including projects and maintenance items.
