Role:
Software company in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey/South West London requires a Teleom Test Engineer to ensure products and releases are reaching a high level of quality before they are delivered to the client.
Main responsibilities include:
- Perform manual and automated testing
- Write test plans and reports
- Testing and UAT
Required experience:
Experience / Knowledge required
- 3 years min experience working for large telecom organisations, having followed structured testing methodologies
- Experience of SS7 / Sigtran (MAP and SCCP) signalling testing.
- Experience of writing telecom test framework using CPPUnit/Google C++/TCLTk
- Good understanding of GSM/CDMA network and 3GPP standards.
- Experience of C++
- Use test tools or write own test scripts (Perl, Bash, etc.) and to write simple SQL queries.
- Write test plans, test cases and execute them on complex multi-tiered systems
- Strong experience of all aspects of Software Testing activities including :
- Non-functional testing
- Performance,
- Boundary and negative testing
- Regression Testing
- Smoke Testing
- Practical knowledge of automatic testing framework such as JMeter.
- Good command of Linux/Unix.
- Familiar with User acceptance Testing (UAT) for external client working as a supplier
- Very good skills documenting and organising the deliverables
