Testhaton Co-Ordinator
Hello you awesome person,
We have possibly one of the best jobs in the world.. but we’re only interested in getting the very best person for the job.
In 2013 we began to organise the world’s first hackathon for testers in London (with King) and we called it a Testathon.
We got an incredible response for the QA community around the world and have subsequently organised more Testathons in Stockholm (with Spotify), San Francisco (with Dropbox): http://youtu.be/Bt39KucH5VA
We’re now planning on doing a lot more events around the world and want someone to help us make this a reality. This is an exciting role where you’ll be travelling a lot and working around the clock to make Testathon a global brand.
(Our Testathons are not-for-profit events aimed at helping bring together the QA community around the world) – find out more on the website.
Because of the travelling you’ll need a passport with minimum visa issues (e.g. British passport or equivalent).
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Organising Testathon events around the world with the very best apps (Spotify, Dropbox, King, etc). This includes managing the Testathon team and everything that comes along with organising multiple events in different countries simultaneously.
Main requirements
- You are cost conscious and can budget – you will need to handle multiple flights, transport, accommodation for groups of people and keep the costs low.
- You are organised – You will need to handle multiple projects simulatinously with ease.
- You are great with time management – events must run on time and that means you have a good judgement on time and an understanding of logistics.
- You are confident on a stage – you will need to have the gravitas to be able to represent Testathon brand worldwide (even if it’s just opening / closing the events)
- You have the ability to build rapport with someone quickly – you must have the ability to connect instantly with people, build rapport and trust. You are comfortable on Skype, phone calls, emails and especially in person.
- You have already travelled the world – We want someone who already has travelled and understands different cultures. Experience counts.
- You are (or will become) a QA / app testing expert – you will need to be speaking with testers and tech teams constantly. This is essential.
- You have a history of working hard and getting results – A minimum 2.1 undergraduate degree from a top university and track record of success.
Nice to have
- You’ve organised a TEDx event or similar before
- QA / testing background
- Start-up experience
Perks
- Our dedication to helping you become successful – We will dedicate time helping make sure you achieve your personal and professional goals and bucket lists.
- Responsibility and a real say in the future of the company – every idea you come up will always be considered.
- Team bucket list – We’ve transcended after work drinks and created a team bucket list where once a month we do activities on our bucket list – the last one was skiing lessons. You’ll get to add activities to the bucket list
