Position Title: LDP Program Specialist
Department: Human Resources, Leadership Development Program
Location: Textron HQ, Providence, RI
Reports To: Director, Talent Acquisition
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting and project oriented work for 1-3 functions (Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, HR, Sales Marketing and/or Finance) within the Textron Leadership Development Program (rotational program) and related University Relations activities. Collaborate with enterprise top-level executives within assigned function(s) and university personnel to source, hire, and manage program participants. Facilitate the Performance Management Process for the LDP participants within assigned function(s). Activities completed with minimal supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support for 1-3 of the LDP functions which consists of Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Human Resources, Finance, Sales Marketing and Information Technology. This support includes participant recruiting, selection, relocation, program assignments and placement.
- Develop and nurtures a good working relationship with all internal and external key stakeholders (Textron leadership, LDP participants, supervisors for LDP participants, LDP mentors, university contacts).
- Provide a portion of overall program administration which may include (1) on-campus recruiting support, (2) LDP curriculum execution, or (3) event planning for all-LDP meetings.
- Responsible for coaching and mentoring the LDP participants within assigned function.
- Supports the identification of and planning for rotational assignments through collaboration with the functional councils and business units.
- Supports the development and distribution of collateral materials for recruiting.
- Updates and tracks program performance metrics and works closely with business units to monitor LDP assignments and participant progress.
- Prepares management level presentation materials to provide updates as required to business and function leadership.
- Identifies, prescreens, and coordinates interview activities for LDP candidates.
- Works with manager and LDP supervisors of LDP participants to ensure appropriate training and development needs.
- Meets regularly to track participant activities on rotational assignments and identify areas of interest that could be expanded upon while in the program.
- Serves as first line support for employee relations issues, escalating to appropriate management.
- Develop and utilize standard processes for LDP and recruiting efforts.
- Serve as a backup support other LDP functions

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in related field
- Project coordination or management
- HR experience desirable
- Experience managing/supervising direct reports
- Knowledge of the application of HR policies and procedures
- Recruiting experience helpful
