The Day Newspaper Employment Positions Eastern Connecticut's leading newspaper is now hiring: ADVERTISING Account Executive - This exciting full-time position is responsible for selling advertising across our multi-product platform; including The Day, The Times Community News Group, theday.com and our custom publications, to accounts in a defined territory. If you have 2-3 years of sales experience with a history of exceeding revenue expectations and you can manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment, then this is the opportunity for you. Knowledge of media sales is preferred. A valid driver's license and daily access to an automobile are required. This is a salary plus commission position with unlimited earning potential, full benefit package including a 401(k) with employer match. Custom Publication and Tourism Account Executive - This exciting full-time position is responsible for selling advertising across our multi-product custom publication; including tourism magazines and chamber directories. You must be able to create and present effective professional sales presentations. If you have 2-3 years of sales experience with a history of exceeding revenue expectations and you can manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment, then this is the opportunity for you. Knowledge of tourism media sales is preferred. A valid driver's license and daily access to an automobile are required. This is a salary plus commission position with unlimited earning potential, full benefit package including a 401(k) with employer match. CIRCULATION DISTRIBUTION DRIVER This part-time position, 6-nights per week is responsible for dropping newspapers to area stores, motor routes and carriers. Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs.
