We are looking for a

 

Embedded Hardware Developer

 

to strengthen our Product Development team in Richmond B.C., Greater Vancouver area.

Your main task will be to actively participate in the design and development of embedded software and firmware for the Vaisala Veriteq Data Loggers, vNet connectivity devices and next generation products. Our product offerings include continuous monitoring systems and data logger solutions for audited and regulated industries including life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnological and medical device companies. You will report to Manager, Product Development.

 

In addition, you will be contributing to all stages of the development process including creation of design plans and implementation documents. You will be working closely with other team members however, you must also be able to efficiently execute project tasks on your own.

Key requirements:

 

·      Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

·      7 years experience as an active embedded hardware developer

·      3 years experience with design planning (Development Life Cycle)

·      Experience with PIC, MSP, ARM and other MCUs

·      Experience with Assembly, C, C++, C# and JavaSript

·      Experience with designing extremely low power long life battery operated devices

·      Experience with PoE, TCPIP, FHSP, Mesh and RF technologies

·      Experience with analog and digital design

·      Familiar with Protel and Altium Designer schematic capture and PCB layout

·      Familiar with standard development equipment - scopes, meters and sources

·      Familiar with temperature and humidity environmental chambers

·      Familiar with MS Project, Visio and/or other planning tools

·      Effective communicator

·      Proven track record
