Tier -2 Investment Bank – Senior Rates sales trader/ strategist
This role is within the banks FICC business, to work alongside the sales team and support them in generating trade ideas for clients in the flow derivatives rates space. This is an opportunity to join one of the leading South African banks, in a business area where they are currently investing, and rapidly growing.
The right candidate for this role should possess:
A strong knowledge of rates derivatives background, with good technical skills
A good grasp for macroeconomics and the ability to link a macroeconomic view to generate trade ideas in the rates derivatives market on South African; bonds, forwards, swaps, and vanilla options etc
Have good communication skills, and the ability to work within a team
A strong academic background in a highly technical field will be valued highly, but not required.
