Job Description Job Classification: Contract 1. At least 7 years of Cisco networking experience (mid-senior level understanding and experience with various routing protocols - OSPF, BGP, EIGRP); 2. At least 5 years of experience troubleshooting large WAN Cisco Switches and Routers 6500 - 7200; 3. At least 2-3 years of network troubleshooting experience doing break/fix type work in a high productivity environment. They must also be open to working all three shifts. Pluses for this position include at least 2-3 years of strong working knowledge of CMTS (any brand is okay i.e. Arris, Cisco, or Motorola) and 2-3 years of Juniper knowledge (JNCIA preferred); All candidates should take an IP Routing and Switching PreVisor and must score a 3.6 (Advanced) or above. Additional Job Info: On a day to day basis, this individual will work with other members of the team to help with troubleshooting of high level network issues as they arise. This individual will work other team members as they have implementation projects and root/cause analysis teams to help understand what caused an issue and prevent it from occurring again or finding a solution more quickly and effectively. They will train on 1st shift for the first 2-4 weeks and then will move to their respective schedule. Candidates must be open to all three shifts (8am-6pm/2pm-12am/10pm-8am) as well as the weekends. They will work four 10 hour shift per week based on the need of the XOC.
