MECHANICAL ENGINEER – TIER ONE AUTOMOTIVE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes

·         Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow

·         Design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency

·         Communicate with planning and design staff to ensure efficient production methods for product design and tooling

·         Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange purchase of equipment, materials, and parts

·         Evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards

·         Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide accurate information for management decisions

·         Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and production information with customers to facilitate production processes

·         Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and production information with management, engineering, and other staff to facilitate production processes

·         Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential

·         Effectively manage time to work between the floor staff, engineering, and management for highest level of production

·         Some travel required

·         BS Mechanical Engineering, Required
