TM1 Developer recruitment
The role is for a TM1 developer within our Finance IT function, building and enhancing cubes that support the banks new reporting suite. The suite provides reporting to the Investment Bank and group-wide Finance functions and cover reports from trade level up to senior management reporting and also treasury based reporting.
Finance IT supports all Investment Bank front-office trading functions, providing an integrated, Global Ledger for PNL, Treasury, and Regulatory Reporting. This unique, cross-product view will provide the candidate with the opportunity to develop domain knowledge about a wide range of financial products, while expanding their technical and team leadership skills.
We are looking for someone to join our highly talented team in developing and supporting a number of reporting applications. As the ideal candidate you have a strong software engineering background and a firm knowledge of the technical fundamentals required to build scalable, performing, high-throughput applications, as well as excellent data/functional analysis skills.
In particular the TM1 solutions currently being deployed push the technology to its limits using advanced techniques and therefore depth and experience in the product are essential for this role.
The key TM1 skills required for the role include:
- Proven experience as a Developer in all aspects of TM1 (Cube design, TI processes, Rules/Feeders, Deployment and Administration)
- Understanding of the TM1 security model and applying cell level security
- Experience of performing dimensional modelling and building cubes from scratch
- Proven experience of working on cubes with 10+ dimensions
- Proven experience of working on cubes that are in the range of 20 to 100gigs in size
- Extensive experience on reporting heavy projects
- Excellent SQL / Oracle skills as this forms the backbone of all TM1 solutions
As the ideal candidate you will have:
- Experience in understanding complex functional requirements and converting them to low level code design
- The ability to perform high volume and complex data analysis for testing reports
- Detailed knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Experience of contributing to the implementation of large-scale change projects in major organizations as a technical and functional lead
- Strong communication skills (including presentations and frequent interaction with technical colleagues and business users)
- A good understanding of UNIX, Linux, Windows NT/XP platforms
The following additional skills would also be beneficial:
- Experience with reporting technologies like Business Objects would be valuable
- Experience with Autosys and Shell/PERL scripting is desirable
- Understanding of Web technologies like HTML, Style Sheets JavaScript is desirable but not a must
- Experience with source code control tools such as Subversion is a plus
