Date Posted: Wednesday, March 14, 2012 Closes: Wednesday, March 28, 2012 TMC Operator Applications are now being accepted for part-time Traffic Management Center (TMC) Operatorin the Congestion Management Division, Traffic Department. Starting wage is $11.77 - $13.54 per hour/DOQ, 25 hrs/wk, 5:30-10:30am, M-F. Primary Responsibilities: * The TMC Operator will be responsible for monitoring ACHD closed circuit television cameras and an emergency scanner and then making the appropriate emergency calls as needed. * The incumbent will be responsible for logging incidents into a computer database and placing messages on freeway and arterial street Dynamic Message Signs. Qualifications: * Must have a general knowledge of computer operating systems and database software; Traffic laws and regulations; Traffic safety and traffic safety procedures. * Experience in control center operations or law enforcement dispatching is preferred. Possession of a valid Idaho driver's license is required. * Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities, may be acceptable.
