TMT – Associate Director
The client's Strategy Group helps clients solve their critical strategic issues by combining deep market insight, rigorous financial expertise and implementation know-how.
They utilise fresh industry insights, operational experience and technical skills to grow and enter new markets, create new business models and business plans, commercialise, and deal with any financial challenges that come up, including MA.
The Telecoms, Media Technology Team (TMT) works with corporates, private equity and lenders from across tlecoms, digital media, IT services/software domains, addressing strategic questions such as:
What are the most attractive ways to grow?
Are there new business models and vehicles to generate value quickly?
How best to simplify a business, and its networks/technologies?
How best to generate value and synergies from MA?
The role
Associate Director in the TMT team. Working as a senior member of the team your responsibilities will include:
Playing a pivotal role in developing Thought Leadership, collateral, selling and delivering projects with minimal supervision from Directors and Partners
Ensuring client work is delivered to the highest standards in both content and form
Building and maintaining effective client relationships
Identifying and acting on business opportunities, both with existing and new clients
Challenging established ways of working and thinking, developing innovative approaches
Being involved in the development of the TMT team, including contributing to recruitment, performance appraisal, and staff mentoring
What they are looking for
Intellectual rigor and diligence and experience in key areas:
Strong curiosity in TMT markets, with relevant experience gained in either corporate roles, strategy consultancy, or similar analytical/ deal experience
Ability to work closely with colleagues and client on small teams that require every team member to stand out
Ability to communicate/operate with clients at a Board/Management level
Strong analytics and financial analysis experience
Experience of all elements of business development - identify opportunity, shape it with the client, develop proposal, commercials, scope etc and then close the deal
Your experience
Strong academics (e.g. Masters degree, ACA, ACCA qualified or MBA)
Strong curiosity of TMT markets, with 6-7 years+ of relevant experience gained in either corporate roles, strategy consultancy, or similar analytical/ deal experience most likely gained in a TMT domain, such as telecommunications, digital media, IT services/software or others
