Tool and Die Maker/CNC Programmer & Set-Up Job in Berea 40403, Kentucky US
Job Purpose:
THIS IS NOT A PRODUCTION MANUFACTURING POSITION. TOOL AND DIE SHOP OF 16 EMPLOYEES LOOKING FOR A CNC (FADAL CNC) PROGRAMMER (WORKNC) WHO CAN PROGRAM AND SET-UP, MACHINE, INSPECT WHAT THEY MACHINE. HAVE TO HAVE 5-7 YEARS EXP. THIS IS A GOOD OPPORTUNITY IN A GROWING MACHINE SHOP ENVIROMENT. MUST HAVE TOOLS (CALIPERS, MICS, GAUGES, ETC....). KNOWING DRILLING TAPPING CYCLES (HOLE RECOGNITION IN WORKNC) IS A PLUS.
Produces (high tolerance) machined parts by programming using latest version of WorkNC, setting up, and operating a CNC machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and tooling.
Duties:
* Plan machining by studying 3D Models, blueprints, engineering plans, materials (tool steel), specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GDT).
* Program mills also with WorkNC, including tooling requirements, set-up documentation; calculating requirements, proving part programs.
* Sets-up CNC, and mills by installing programs, tools, attachments, collets, stops; indicating vices.
* Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
* Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
* Maintains equipment by completing preventive/predictive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs/tech support.
* Documents actions by completing daily logs. ( to track work flow/hours on job)
* Organization, accepting ownership for mistakes (thats how we learn) knowing how it happened to avoid the same mistake in the future.
Skills/Qualifications:
WorkNC Fadal knowledge a plus (will train on WorkNC and Fadal if you have another software knowledge, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Fadal Controls and Instrumentation, Tooling, Inventory Control, Attention to Detail, Judgment
