No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Supports manufacturing requirements for non-production materials, tool and shop supplies. Assists with investigating changes in manufacturing requirements and supporting emergent requests. Supports the evaluation of outside supplier performance and verification of compliance with procedures and contract specifications. Performs inventory and coordinates redistribution of materials. Assesses manufacturing requirements and verifies customer requests. Coordinates with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues. Participates in the analysis and research of new technology to provide state of the art cost-effective products. Gathers manufacturing and product information to develop and recommend solutions to manufacturing requirements. Explores all possible options to resolve potential impacts to budget and manufacturing schedules. Supports the evaluation of outside supplier performance and verification of compliance with procedures and contract specifications. Participates in the development and management of overhead and capital budgets for the acquisition and inventory of tool services products. Reviews on-hand inventory and coordinates re-distribution. Participates in the plans for the removal of obsolete inventory. Assemble, test, qualify, deliver, retrieve and disassemble Powerfeed drills and auto-drilling equipment. Works under limited supervision. Preferred - Complete knowledge of function specific specialized tools (e.g., sheet metal--cornice brakes, metal shears, pneumatic rivet squeezers, cold-hardening kits; electrical--crimpers, wire routing tools, multimeters) + Inventory Control Basic - General knowledge of inventory requirements planning (e.g., Lot sizes, Work in Process WIP, Inventory Burndown), management, and control (e.g., Kanban, Just In Time JIT, Kitting, Point of Use POU, inventory turn rate). Typical Education/Experience Level 2 - AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 3 - AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
