No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Investigates, develops and verifies accuracy of tooling concepts and tooling definitions. Researches tool designs to create and revise tool usage instructions. Prepares tool design or fabrication off load packages. Provides engineering design disposition on tool discrepancies to identify solutions. Develops, documents and maintains complex tool inspection and maintenance requirements. Participates in multi-functional product design reviews to support manufacturing/tooling plan. Investigates, develops and verifies accuracy of tooling concepts and tooling definitions. Leads activities and creates and revises drawings, models and tool usage instructions for complex tools. Prepares tool design or fabrication offload package for family of tools or complex tools. Provides and oversees engineering design disposition on complex tool discrepancies to identify solutions; conducts root cause analysis for repetitive, systemic problems. Develops, documents and maintains complex tool inspection and maintenance requirements. Participates in multi-functional product design reviews to support manufacturing/tooling plan. Leads and mentors others. Technical + Computer Aided Tools Knowledge Basic - Able to apply a complete understanding of computer aided tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive data.) (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to manipulate data sets, compare measurement data, create stereo lithography files. Preferred - Ability to manipulate complex computer aided tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive data.) (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to manipulate data sets, compare measurement data, create stereo lithography files. + Design Concepts Techniques Basic - Complete knowledge of design concepts and techniques (e.g., concurrent engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly DFM/A ). Preferred - Extensive knowledge of design concepts and techniques (e.g., concurrent engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly DFM/A ). + Engineering Drawings Specs Basic - Complete ability to read, understand, and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications. Preferred - Extensive and specialized ability to read and understand basic and complex engineering drawings and specifications. Assists others in understanding detailed drawings and specs. Basic Qualifications For Consideration Do you have at least 5 years of CATIA V5 experience? Do you have at least 5 years experience designing tooling for composites? Are you willing to travel as needed to support projects? Do you meet the criteria described in the Typical Education / Experience section of this requisition? Typical Education/Experience Level 3 - AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 4 - AA degree in related discipline and typically 6 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
