No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Candidates should have a minimum of one (1) year, but no greater than five (5) years, of related work experience. Perform routine tool (Fixtures, Jigs, etc.) set up activities and has the skills and ability to make minor repairs. Uses various hand, power driven and specialty tools to fabricate and repair assembly jig and fixture tools. Manufactures and inspects various assembly tools using appropriate precision tools and equipment. Operates various factory support equipment including forklifts, snorkel lifts, scissor lifts and overhead cranes to move materials and tools as required within the factory. Perform as part of a team in the moving and loading of large aircraft sections and assembly tools. Work with and take direction from higher grade employees. Must posses a basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Must be able to use computers and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) to perform routine daily tasks and communicate with other team members. Use computers systems to organize, distribute and manage tool/equipment inventory. Basic Qualifications For Consideration Do you have previous work experience using Micrometers, Calipers, and Precision Scales? Are you willing to work on 2nd or 3rd shift if assigned to do so? Do you have at least one year, but no more than five years, of work experience as a Machinist or Tool Maker? Typical Education/Experience High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Job related information This requisition is for multiple positions at the North Charleston Site. Ability to relocate permanently to Charleston, South Carolina is required. May support revolving shifts. All employees will be on the Boeing Charleston benefit structure.
